Purpose of this Page
- Provide index of (that is, point to) resources useful for those who want to start a worker-owned or platform cooperative in Singapore. This platform does not just seek to share, but also makes it easy for all its members to contribute to the knowledge base, so that we can benefit from a collective effort.
- Provide a holding space and platform for those interested in this to get in touch with the network [A wiki is more discoverable than a Google Doc, which has the same functionality. We can move to an even better platform in the future if there is a need or resources to do so].
Members and Membership Rules
[These are tentative suggestions for all of us to consent to]
- Members are those who have a deep interest in starting, running or championing worker/platform coops for the purpose of generating greater economic inclusion.
- Associate members are those that members vouch for and introduce to the network. This way, the group can grow organically based on member referrals, or through people getting in touch directly. Taking a leaf out of Enspiral, you can be an associate member when a member trusts you. You become a full member when all of the members trust you.
- All decisions related to the purpose and structure of the network will be collective decided, through consent. We will adopt sociocracy or use some sociocratic principles for the purpose of decision-making and organsing.
